What isn't dysfunctional these days? You can't even go to church without it being dysfunctional. There's a church I won't name by name other than to say it's a Catholic church, but when asked by a parishioner for prayer the father's attitude was basically that their offerings weren't large enough to have the entire congregation asked for prayer. In my personal experience I've noticed that church has become a continuation of High School for some. It's not a popularity contest and it's turned into a "Who's the most religious" contest when in actuality they're hypocrites with what goes on outside of that few hours on Sunday when they're sitting in church. My experience at a Presbyterian church in Steubenville almost had me denouncing organized religion in general, not Jesus or God but the concept of organized religion. I won't name names, maybe they've changed since I last sat in a pew on Sunday.
