WINTERSVILLE - Brett Isler, 19, of 104 Ellsworth St. was charged today by Village Police in connection with the armed robbery of Burger King a week ago.

Isler was arrested Thursday by police and taken to the Jefferson County jail.

Police obtained charges through the county prosecutor's office this morning charging Isler with aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery, two counts of felonious assault and one count of theft.

Police reported the robber was waiting outside the rear of the restaurant shortly after 2 a.m. on Feb. 14 when the manager came outside to dispose of the garbage. The robber fired a shot into the air, assaulted the manager and forced her back into the restaurant, police reported. Another employee inside also was assaulted, police reported.
