RADAKOVICH, Marjorie H. "Margie" Turrentine, Steubenville City School Principal of Wells Academy and Success for All Coach, joined her parents, Bud and Mary Lou, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, after a brief illness.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1954, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Robert D. and Mary Louise Young Turrentine.

Margie was a member and elder of First Westminster Presbyterian Church. Margie was a 37-year veteran teacher and administrator.

During her career she served as a reading and math teacher at Harding Middle School, Dean of Girls, Principal of McKinley, Roosevelt, East Garfield, and the Wells Academy.

Margie most recently served as a Success For All Coach for the district and was instrumental in implementing the SFA program in the Steubenville City Schools. Over time Mrs. Radakovich served over 7,500 students during her tenure. She held membership in Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Margie is survived by her three sons, Brian, Adam and Andrew Radakovich; her chocolate lab, Dizzy; brother, Samuel Michael Turrentine and his wife, Ramaine "Sam"; and the father of her sons, Robert "Bob" Radakovich.

A giving person, Margie helped co-ordinate countless fundraisers, fed the homeless and spent innumerable hours to help others.

Friends may call at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, 235 North Fourth Street, Steubenville on Saturday 2-8 p.m. and again on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating.

The family strongly suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Steubenville City Schools Foundation.
