Informational meeting Wednesday on re-establishing Wintersville Lions Club

February 21, 2014
The Herald-Star

The Steubenville Lions Club is looking to help re-establish a Wintersville Lions Club.

An informational meeting regarding that is on the calendar for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaslite Restaurant & Lounge located at 820 Canton Road, Wintersville.

Residents of Wintersville or individuals doing business in Wintersville are welcome to attend the gathering to learn more about Lions Club International, the world's largest service club organization.

"This meeting does not commit you to membership but to just give you information on what you can do as part of the Lions Club and what Lions Club is all about," reads part of an invitation letter sent to village of Wintersville leaders and authored by Steubenville Lions Club representatives Rikki Kamarados, Tim Walters, A.J. Abrams and Bill Hendricks.

The letter notes, "It is the wish of Lions Club International to re-establish the Wintersville Lions Club."

Appetizers and soft drinks will be provided. Those attending should RSVP by Sunday by contacting Kamarados by phone at (740) 632-4311 or by e-mail at downtownbakery@sbcglobal.net.

Lions dignitaries set to attend include District Gov. Greg Halley and past District Gov. Tom Cahoon.
