Knights defeat Riders

WEIRTON - Toronto outscored Weir High 27-3 at the free throw line in Tuesday's 67-56 victory at the Carl Hamill Fieldhouse.

A lot of that came in the fourth quarter as the Red Knights outscored the hosts 28-16 to secure the victory. The Red Riders held a 40-39 advantage heading into the final eight minutes of action.

Toronto's Blaze Glenn had a game-high 23 points. Nate Stewart added 13, Blaine Rawson 12 and Derick Lawrence eight. The Red Knights host Buckeye Local on Friday.

Mitch Viakley and Chris Wood each scored 17 points for Weir High, which hosts Indian Creek today and visits Barnesville on Friday.

Creek beats Bears in OT

WINTERSVILLE - Indian Creek outscored Oak Glen 20-13 in overtime to rally for a 68-61 win on Tuesday.

Jonathan Haught led the Redskins (9-9) with 24 points. Zach Connor scored 11 points in his second game since returning from a food injury. Cody Durbin added eight for Creek.

Brennan Smith led the two-win Golden Bears with 22 points, while Bub Haddox had 17 and David McGraw scored 10.

Edison beats Beavers

RICHMOND - Edison freshman Joey Nave knocked down four 3-pointers and netted a team-high 14 points to lead the Wildcats over Beaver Local, 53-49 on Monday.

Erik Lee scored 13 points for Edison (8-12) and Dylan Jones added 12. Austin Horan and Josh Woika had five points each.

The Wildcats rallied to outscore the Beavers 21-10 in the fourth quarter.

Buckeye tops JM

RAYLAND - Buckeye Local broke open a tie game after eight minutes by outscoring visiting John Marshall 25-12 over the next two periods for a 61-38 victory Tuesday.

The Panthers, who were led by Brennan Czuchran's game-high 24 points, outscored the Monarchs 18-8 in the final quarter.

Jonathan Borkoski added 13 and Damian Beall nine for the winners, who visit Toronto on Friday.

Magnolia defeats Huskies

CADIZ - Preston Boswell had 25 points to lead Magnolia to a 66-59 victory against Harrison Central.

He was joined in double figures by Spencer Campbell, who had 13, Mitch Winters with 12 and Zach Willhoite with 10.

Magnolia came out flat in the first quarter, trailing 21-10 but amped up its play in the second quarter with a 19-11 run.

Magnolia took over with an 11-point cushion in the third quarter of play.

Harrison Central's Corey Yoho and Austin Kowalski combined for seven 3 pointers and had 15 points apiece. Nate Olmstead added 11 for Central.
