STEUBENVILLE - Thomas R. Fazio Jr., 47, of Steubenville was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department after he allegedly threatened people with a large knife at the entrance to the Fort Steuben Apartments, 180 N. Fourth St., on Friday evening.
A deputy, who was a block away, responded to the call around 8:14 p.m. Friday about a man not allowing people to leave or enter the apartments. The deputy said he ordered Fazio, who appeared to be highly intoxicated, to the ground and took away a knife with a 10-inch blade.
Fazio was placed in handcuffs and shouted obscenities and threats to the deputy enroute to the county jail and at the jail.
Fazio was charged with menacing, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon.
