STEUBENVILLE - The state fire marshal's office is continuing to investigate an early Saturday morning fatal fire.

Acting Assistant Chief Tom Mastroianni said today a fire marshal office investigator was at the 1327 Oak Grove Ave. residence, where Frankie Allen was fatally injured in the fire, all day Saturday.

"When we arrived at the scene at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday we found the house fully engulfed. Neighbors told us the mother and her daughter were in the house, so three of us entered the structure and located Frankie Allen in the living room. We took her outside and gave her to the ambulance crew standing by on the street. She was transported to Trinity Medical Center West and then to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Allen's daughter was not home at the time of the fire" related Mastrioanni.

"After we took the woman out of the house we concentrated on fighting the fire in the house and the neighboring houses," Mastrioanni said.

"The houses on either side of the building also caught fire, but we were able to limit the damage," added Mastrioanni.
