Em-Media expands digital services team

STEUBENVILLE - An Ohio Valley business has expanded its team and services to help other regional businesses successfully adapt to the ever-changing digital environment.

Since 1996, Steubenville-based Em-Media Inc. has given consumers the information they need to make educated decisions, while helping businesses exceed their goals. Over the years, Em-Media's marketing and advertising initiatives have adapted to the way people communicate. Now, the company's new digital content strategy team will focus on new Internet and social media trends, as well as existing platforms, to adapt to businesses' individual needs.

To enhance its line of creative services, the company will provide even more customized content creation such as upgraded website building and maintenance; social media strategy and upkeep; internal and external marketing publications; and specialized public relations services.

The team, led by Jim Emmerling, Em-Media Inc. owner and president, will work closely with businesses to identify goals, customize plans and strategize the most efficient way to reach those goals. Emmerling said, by hiring new employees, it reiterates the company's philosophy that all businesses can do great things.

"The company is committed to ensuring businesses' success. The reason we hired these people is to make sure our existing clients and future clients have the best services they can get," Emmerling said. "When I decided to start Em-Media, I knew that I was taking a chance. But over the years, I've seen how we can help businesses grow in the Ohio Valley

and beyond. We pride ourselves on being the best in our industry in all of the services we provide. Now, with more people than ever, we can accomplish that goal in a small city with big-city talent."

As part of its expansion, joining the Em-Media team are:

* Renee Cardelli-Contumelio of Weirton, a 1997 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in professional writing. She has worked as a reporter for the Herald-Star and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. She furthered her career as a public relations/media specialist at Duquesne University, where she focused on developing internal and external publications. Most recently, Contumelio served as executive web producer for two television websites. During her eight years overseeing WTOV9.com and WJACTV.com, the sites won numerous first-place Associated Press awards in Ohio and West Virginia, as well as a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Award for Outstanding Television Website.

* Marcus Giannamore of Toronto joins Em-Media with a creative skill set to enhance the company's Internet and website solution services. Giannamore spent eight years as a technician in the academic computing division of the office of information technology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he focused on computer hardware issues, software deployment and customer service. Most recently, Giannamore held the position of web developer for the Endeleo Project, a nonprofit organization in Columbus, N.J. He was responsible for building the organization's website from the ground up, as well as performing general Web maintenance tasks. Giannamore is currently pursuing a computer science degree at Franciscan University.

* Chris Messer of Weirton brings information technology and digital troubleshooting skills to the Em-Media team. A graduate of Fairmont State University, Messer earned a degree in elementary education. He has coupled his computer and customer service experience at companies including CompassLearning and Verizon Wireless. Messer is pursuing a second degree in Web design and development at Full Sail University.

The company's team members also include media specialists Wayne Hardy and Rose Orsatti; lead graphic designer and digital team manager Larae Messer; and Bella Hall coordinator Lee Ann Emmerling.
