Irondale man pleads in sex case

STEUBENVILLE - Justin A. Davis, 26, of 185 Saline St., Irondale, was sentenced to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center and two years of probation on Friday by Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Bruzzese Jr. after Davis pleaded guilty to sexual battery and two counts of sexual imposition.

Davis was charged with having sexual conduct with a then-17-year-old girl at his home in April.

Bruzzese also ruled that Davis is a Tier III sex offender, requiring him to report his address to the county sheriff where he resides every 90 days for the rest of his life.

Mingo Junction man sentenced in court

STEUBENVILLE - John Cebula, 58, of Apartment 307, 125 Ravine St., Mingo Junction, was placed on two years of probation by Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Bruzzese Jr. after Cebula pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and theft.

Cebula was charged with the August break-in of the office of the apartment building he resided and taking keys to other apartments.

Cebula faces up to one year in prison if he violates probation.

Polish Athletic Club meetings slated

STEUBENVILLE - Upcoming events at the Polish Athletic Club include an executive meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the club, 433 N. Seventh St. Pictures will be taken at 7 p.m., officials said.

A regular meeting is planned at 8 p.m. Thursday at the club. Dues for 2014 must be paid before the start of the regular meeting.
