Man stabbed in leg following argument

STEUBENVILLE - A city man was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after he was stabbed in the leg early Wednesday morning following an argument at an apartment at 180 N. Fourth St., City Police reported.

Officers said the man and Joyce Stewart, 23, of 180 N. Fourth St. were involved in an argument in the hallway of the apartment building around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Police reported the couple went into an apartment, where the argument turned physical and the man was stabbed in the leg.

The victim initially told police he was stabbed at a downtown bar and walked home, before collapsing in the apartment kitchen, police reported.

Stewart was charged with falsification and domestic violence.

Trustees announce new meeting schedule

MINGO JUNCTION - The Steubenville Township trustees will hold their regular meetings at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

The trustees said the Tuesday meeting is set for 4 p,m. because of a scheduling conflict.
