Richard Clayton Ramsey

RAMSEY, Richard Clayton "Rick," 63, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

He was born on June 29, 1950, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Clayton Ramsey and Mary Ruth (Wood) Ramsey of Wellsburg, WV.

Rick graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1969 and Auto Diesel College.

He was a member of the Wellsburg United Methodist Church.

Rick was a coal miner having worked at Valley Camp 1 mine, he worked as the service manager at former DiNovo & Sons Dealership in Steubenville, OH, and he held many titles at Morgan and Son Trucking in Wellsburg, WV and later retired from R.E.M. Incorporated.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of 41 years, Mary Jo "Pat" (Ridgely) Ramsey whom he married on March 18, 1972; two daughters, Tammy Ramsey of Winchester, VA and Brianne (Steve) Utt of Spotsylvania, VA; two sisters, Deborah Ramsey of Wellsburg, WV and Diane Ramsey of Florida; two grandchildren, Cody and Katelynn Utt.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28th from 3-8 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec.29th from 12:30 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV with Rev. Carl Tribett, officiating.

Interment will be held privately on Monday, Dec. 30th at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsburg United Methodist Church, 11th & Charles St. Wellsburg, WV or the Brooke County Animal Shelter, 797 Mac Barnes Dr. Beech Bottom, WV 26030
