George Edward ‘Omar’ Bradley

BRADLEY, George Edward "Omar," 84, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1929, in Wellsburg, WV, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George "Abe" Bradley.

He was a lifelong resident of Wellsburg, WV; and a Christian by faith.

Omar served in the Army for six years. He was the senior vice Commander of the VFW. in Wellsburg, WV, for over 20 years as well as a lifetime member. He was also a member of the American Legion 4496 in Wellsburg, WV.

George was retired from Consol Coal Company the Shoemaker Mine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou (Simms) Bradley at home; a son, Lester Bradley; and a grandson, Ethan George Bradley both of Wellsburg, WV.

There will be no visitation.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, WV.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV.
