Bloomingdale woman’s story in Chicken Soup anthology

December 12, 2013
The Herald-Star

A story written by local resident Melissa Zifzal is included in the recently released Chicken Soup for the Soul anthology " Just Us Girls."

In "Wanted: Mom Friends," Zifzal relates how attending children's programs at her local library with her infant son helped her make several new friends. The "Misty" referenced in the story is Misty Teasdale, family place coordinator for the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County, who introduced her to other moms and instantly put her at ease, Zifzal says.

Zifzal lives in Bloomingdale with her husband, Dwayne, and their children, Ethan, 10; Lindsey, 8; and Caleb, 7. In addition to writing, she also enjoys serving as a 4-H adviser and county 4-H committee member, junior church teacher and Wintersville Elementary PTO board member.
