Community makes foundation work

November 24, 2013
The Herald-Star

To the editor:

On behalf of the Pamela Shoemaker Breast Cancer Foundation, Teresa Stoll and I would like to thank the community for its continued support. Through your generous donations, we are able to continue helping the needs of those in our community who are going through chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

This year, the foundation held its first spaghetti dinner in April and its third-annual golf classic at Spring Hills Golf Club. We would like to thank all of those who attended, donated and volunteered for these events. We also would like to thank Lili Smith and family for donating the proceeds from Cheer for a Cure; Brittany Buchanan, who held a craft vendor show for the foundation; Samantha Simmons for selling bracelets; and Bishop John King Mussio Junior High School and Wells Academy for sponsoring a Pink for Pam Day, with all proceeds going to the foundation.

To the members of the foundation, friends, family and members of the community, we thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and donations. Without all of you, we would not be able to make Pam's wishes of helping others come true.

God bless all, and happy holidays.
