Low-cost rabies clinic offered

FOLLANSBEE - A low-cost rabies clinic will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Tractor Supply store on state Route 2.

No appointment is needed for the clinic, which is open to all area pet owners. Dogs should be on a leash and cats in carriers.

WLU to present play this week

WEST LIBERTY - West Liberty University's Hilltop Players will present the musical "Spring Awakening" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in the school's Kelly Theatre.

Based on an 1891 play but updated for modern audiences by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, it involves the real world of German teens of that period and their fantasy world, in which they express themselves through rock and roll.

It contains scenes that deal with sexuality and other mature scenes and contains strong language and isn't suitable for all audiences, said officials with the theater.
