Four Seasons set holiday dinner

The Four Seasons Senior Citizens met Oct. 16 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton with President Norma Yoho presiding.

A mix of country and western music courtesy of Stone Street Station was the post-dinner entertainment.

Members with October birthdays and anniversaries were singled out.

Judy Sabol won the free dinner.

The 50/50 drawing winners were Carolyn Shaffer and Al Cellini.

Other prize winners were Fran Wenzel, Shirley Brecht, Irene Rupani, Virginia Riley, Cris Sklenar and Jim Oiler. After the meeting, members enjoyed cards and bingo. The group's next meeting will be a Thanksgiving buffet on Nov. 20.

Quarter auction

to be in Richmond

The Richmond Volunteer Fire Dept. is hosting a quarter auction on Saturday at the fire hall located on state Route 152 south, Richmond.

Doors open at 11 a.m. with the auction beginning at noon. The fire department also will have a Chinese auction, a 50/50 drawing and food and beverages available for purchase.

There are 23 vendors planning to attend the event "with top-of-the-line merchandise," an event spokesperson said.

The events benefits the fire department.

Stone Street

Station to perform

Country Friends will host the Stone Street Station band Saturday at the Memorial Hall, 67 Old Police Lodge Road, Colliers. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the dance at 7 p.m.

Country Friends hosts events each Monday, Friday and Saturday at the hall. On Monday and Friday, doors open at 4 p.m., and open mike begins at 6 p.m. Those in attendance may bring a covered dish for the meal, which begins at 5 p.m.

Tree decorating workshop set

Historic Fort Steuben will offer a children's Christmas tree decorating workshop for children age 6 to 12 on Nov. 23 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Fort Steuben Visitor Center at 120 S. Third St., Steubenville

Under the direction of Marnee Muhleman and Kim Hohlmayer, the children will create their own unique designs. Each child will be presented with a 2-foot artificial tree and a large selection of ornaments, ribbons and beads to create a one-of-a-kind tree.

The cost is $20 per child.
