EASTON, Harold Edward, Sr., 97, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.
He was born on September 23, 1916, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Clarence and Alice (Early) Easton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marie (Stevens) Easton who passed away on September 21, 2012, one brother, Larry Easton, and three sisters, Ada Logan, Mildred Shiller, and Helen Catchpole.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army. Harold retired after 27 years of service with WSTV where he worked as an engineer. He was Christian by faith.
Surviving are five children, Joseph (Sally) Easton of Steubenville, OH, Peggy Smith of Riverview, MI, James (Debbie) Easton of Steubenville, OH, Andrew (Sandy) Easton of Steubenville, OH, Patricia (Andy) Kuchinski of Follansbee, WV, two sisters-in-law, Mary Melle of Latrobe, PA, and Nancy Stevens of Oakdale, PA, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV, where services will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating.
Entombment will follow in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
