What have we fought for?

November 3, 2013

To the editor:

I have been thinking about these mandates and other parts of what Obamacare is about.

I am sure that there are some good things in Obamacare, but don't try to shove them down on the American people.

In 1776, the Americans fought a war to get their freedom from taxes and had no say about taxation without representation.

How many wars have we fought to keep our freedom? How many thousands have been killed to keep our freedom and our way of life in the United States?

This country is not Russia or any other country that is run by a dictator. What is going on in Washington, D.C., with Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA and now Obamacare - affordable care? This administration, mandating to our citizens to do what they say?

The EPA has put thousands and thousands out of work, and now they are after the coal miners again? Plus, four Americans were killed in Benghazi.
