STEUBENVILLE - A 29-year-old city woman is expected to be charged with voluntary manslaughter this morning after she allegedly fatally stabbed her boyfriend in the chest early Sunday morning.
Police Chief Bill McCafferty said charges were to be officially filed early today against Sasha Sims of 1242 Wellesley Ave.
Sims is accused of stabbing Edward DeHart, 30, early Sunday morning at their Wellesley Avenue residence.
DeHart was pronounced dead at Trinity Medical Center West.
McCafferty said the couple has a long history of domestic violence calls at the Wellesley Avenue residence.
Sims was brought to the police station for questioning and then sent to the Jefferson County jail, where she is waiting for her court appearance.
