TORONTO - A Toronto man faces charges of attempted murder and kidnapping following a shooting incident that happened on Euclid Avenue early today.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said this morning that Randell Fazio Jr., 20, of 511 Euclid Ave., was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Fazio was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on the charges of attempted murder and kidnapping early today.

City Police Chief Randy Henry said a 20-year-old man fired six shots into a vehicle in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue and the driver, the vehicle's only occupant, wasn't harmed.

The chief said formal charges may be filed today or Monday against the suspect.

He said City Police were assisted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation in securing the crime scene.
