Knights' Octoberfest will be Thursday

Immaculate Heart of Mary Council No. 472 of the Knights of Columbus will hold its annual Octoberfest on Thursday at the council hall. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. with food being served at 5 p.m.

Many foods will be on the menu for the evening, including kielbasa, bratwurst, hot dogs, soups & potato salad, along with desserts and coffee. Admission is free to all members and their families.

Grand Knight Bill DiMarzio said the event is the council's way of saying thank-you to its members and their families for all they do for the organization.

"Whether it's helping with different functions, buying tickets for their fundraisers or just being a dues-paying member, it all helps to keep our council active and vibrant," DiMarzio said. "It's an evening for all just to come out and socialize and enjoy a night out," he said.
