TORONTO - The annual citywide yard sale is set Oct. 4-6.

Wendy Coghe, organizer, said she's hoping those wishing to participate will contact her.

"I'm currently gathering a list of participants for this fall's citywide yard sale," said Coghe, adding those interested should contact her at (740) 457-8009 or (740) 537-3271 before Wednesday with address information.

"Those leaving a message should leave their name and phone number, and I will contact them. Businesses and organizations are more than welcome to participate."

Coghe said while the event is free, donations are welcome and appreciated to cover the cost of printing fliers and other expenses. She said donations should be sent to Wendy Coghe, 508 Euclid Ave., Toronto, OH 43964.

"As in the past, I will be posting fliers that include a map and list of the participating yard sales at local businesses," said Coghe. "(Those interested) will be able to pick up a flier copy at Riesbeck's grocery store, Special Way grocery store, the City Municipal Building and some participating yard sales."

Coghe said yard sales hours are up to the individual.

"The yard sale doesn't have to be the entire weekend," said Coghe. "(Those participating) can have their sale for one or both days. In addition to our fliers, those participating can post their own signs if they don't live on a busy street. Those with nothing to sell could host a bake sale instead."

Coghe said the event will continue, rain or shine.

"I'm looking forward to once again see the city of Toronto come together as a community," she said. "With everyone's help and participation, we can make this happen for many years to come."
