It's Library Card Sign-up Month

September is Library Card Sign-up Month.

"Make sure your child has the most important back-to-school supply of all - a library card," said Jennifer Cesta, public relations coordinator for the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County.

The library system joins the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to observe this month, according to Cesta.

"Throughout September, library branches will host a variety of activities for all ages. Visit the library's newly revitalized website, www.steubenvillelibrary.org for a list of these programs, download an ebook or browse our collection of more than 7 million items and growing," Cesta said.

Library cards are free to Ohio residents.

"Stop in the main library in downtown Steubenville or one of our branches in Adena, Brilliant, Dillonvale, Tiltonsville, Toronto, Schiappa in Steubenville or the bookmobile," she said.
