South End Reunion a success

September 1, 2013
The Herald-Star

To the editor:

On Aug. 24, approximately 160 people got together at Beatty Park to reunite and talk about all the great times we had growing up in the South End of Steubenville. There were several generations there ranging from 22 months to 94 years of age.

We would like to thank all the people who helped make this reunion a joyous occasion. First, a big thank you to Mayor Domenick Mucci, who was a tremendous help in getting the Lincoln School bell back to the South End, where it belongs. We would also like to thank Capt. John Young of the Steubenville Police Department, who volunteered his time and acted as our security.

Last, but not least, thanks to the Herald-Star for covering our story several times and getting the word out to people who otherwise would not have known about the reunion.
