Karaoke fun night

today in East Springfield

A karaoke fun night with disc jockey Chelsea Matta tonight at the East Springfield Community Center has a new twist.

Tonight's event will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with $1 of the $3 admission going into the "Singer's Reward Jar."

Matta will provide each singer with a ticket for the drawing, and the winner will receive the money in the jar.

Organizers noted that the more people participating in the karaoke fun night means a bigger pot with a larger reward.

Door prize tickets will be provided to all attending with the winner to receive two free dinners at the community center's monthly fundraiser dinner.

While admission is $3 for adults, it is free for those under age 10.
