Cline shines at game

BUFFALO, W.Va. - Brooke High graduate Marena Cline, a second baseman on the Bruins softball team, played in the North/South All-Star game as the starting second baseman. While there, she won the individual bunting competition out of 35 state all-stars. She also was selected as the starting second baseman in the OVAC All-Star game.

Cline, a goalie on the Brooke soccer team, has signed to continue her athletic career at Bethany College where she will play soccer and softball.

Big Red boosters to meet

STEUBENVILLE - The Big Red Boosters Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the high school conference room. Featured guest will be Athletic Director Lynn Meyer. All are welcome. Memberships are available.

Blue Waves to hold sign-ups

FOLLANSBEE - The Follansbee Blue Wave Youth football team will hold registration at their booth at Follansbee Community Days from July 12-14. There will be a special Community Days Rate of $55. It is open to ages 7-8 under 110 pounds, ages 9-10 under 125 and 11-12 under 150.
