STEUBENVILLE - Club 106 on South Street was raided early today by agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit and the special response team from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and City Police also participated.
The club was under a common pleas court order to be closed until the club's owner, Derrick Smith, can get the proper permits.
County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said there were about 120 people at the club when it was raided. He said six guns and drugs were found inside.
The city's law director filed for an injunction to stop Smith from using the building until he gets the proper city permits.
Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Bruzzese Jr. had issued a permanent injunction on Feb. 12 .
Smith was in court in March for the first contempt of court hearing, and was fined $250 by Bruzzese for contempt. The judge told Smith he wouldn't force him to pay the fine if he follows restrictions on the number of people in his building and complies with city requirements in order to obtain an occupancy permit.
City officials argued on Tuesday that more than 90 people were seen entering the building on March 30 and more than 80 on March 31, both in the early morning hours.
Bruzzese fined Smith $500 for the second contempt charge.
