Finley UMC youth revival kicks off Sunday

Finley United Methodist Church will hold its annual youth revival Sunday through June 5.

Services will be held at 8:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 958 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, and 7 p.m. Monday through June 5 at the ministry center at 128 Raynes Road, Mingo Junction.

The Rev. Ryan Bash, pastor of Trinity Chapel in Milford Center, Ohio, will be the youth evangelist.

A 2001 Asbury University graduate, Bash has been a youth pastor for six years in the Pittsburgh and Lancaster, Ohio. He was the evangelist of the youth revival in 2011 also has preached at the Hollow Rock camp meeting in rural Toronto.

The worship leaders will be Ablaze, a summer ministry team from Asbury University.

A love offering will be taken for the evangelist and worship leaders.

Special revival services

at Calvary Church

Special revival services will be held at Calvary Church located at 255 N. Fifth St., Steubenville, beginning Sunday and continuing through Wednesday with Evangelist Bobby Wade from Hartford, Mich., as guest evangelist.

Wade has traveled extensively throughout North America and also more recently in the Philippines and has been preaching, teaching and conducting revivals and evangelistic crusades full-time for the last 10 years.

The Calvary Praise and Worship Team will be leading the worship, and there also will be special singing as well.

Service times Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Strawberry festival

At Bell Chapel UMC

A strawberry festival will be held at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church located on state Route 213, Steubenville, on June 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

It will feature a variety of salads as well as hot dogs, hamburgers and many strawberry dishes. Patrons can dine in or get carryout orders.

Roger Hoard to perform

at 213 Coffeehouse

Roger Hoard, who was country music star Brad Paisley's guitar teacher and performed with Paisley as well as Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau and Steve Wariner, will perform at the 213 Coffeehouse on June 7 from 7:30 .m. to 9:30 p.m.

Admission is a suggested donation of $5. Snacks are available for purchase.

The coffeehouse is located on the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church on state Route 213, Steubenville, and is "a ministry that includes wholesome entertainment for the area," according to a promotional flyer.

Flea market, car wash, today at Weirton church

Marland Heights Community Church located at 3900 Brightway, Weirton, is holding a flea market, car wash, and sale of baked goods, hot dogs and popcorn from 8 a.m. to noon today.

The car wash is free and will be held by the men of the church.

Shiloh Apostolic Faith

presents local talent

The Shiloh Apostolic Faith Usher Ministry presents "God's Servants: We Serve and We Believe," featuring Tri-State Area performers at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 3000 Weir Ave., Weirton.

Colliers UMC sets vacation

Bible school for June 17-21

The Colliers United Methodist Church will hold the 2013 vacation Bible school from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 17-21 at the church located at 318 Pennsylvania Ave./Harmon Creek Road, across from the Colliers Post Office.

Registration will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 17-21.

The theme is "Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God." A light dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m., and children will participate in Bible stories, science experiments, games and songs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The children will present a program for parents on June 23.

The program is free.

Weirton church to host

free recitals on Sunday

Torrance Music Studios students will hold free recitals at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday at the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church located at 121 Ivy St., Weirton.

The younger children will participate in the 2:30 p.m. recital, and the 5 p.m. recital features youth aged 11 to 18. Thirteen area high school seniors will be honored at the conclusion of the 5 p.m. program.

The children will give vocal, piano, organ and guitar performance. It is free and open to the public.
