Bears to hold wrestling camp
NEW MANCHESTER - The Oak Glen high school wrestling team will hold a wrestling camp for any wrestlers in grades K-8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 10-14. The cost is $50 per wrestler.
Each wrestler will be provided with a camp T-shirt at the end of the camp.

Spring Hills golf clinic set
EAST SPRINGFIELD - Spring Hills Golf Course will hold a junior golf clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18 and 20. The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 9-14.
The cost of the clinic is $20 and includes a sling tote bag or shoe bag, a frisbee and a coupon for a free nine-hole round of golf (at a later date when accompanied by an adult).
The entry deadline is June 16.

Indian Creek to hold golf outing
UNIONPORT - The seventh-annual Indian Creek Golf Scramble to benefit Indian Creek Athletics will be held June 8 at Red Oaks Golf Course.
The cost is $55 per person. Hole and green sponsorships are available for $100, $75 and $50. There will be 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction, closet to the pin and longest drive. Cash prize will be paid to the top three teams.

Golf scramble to be held
HOPEDALE - The Smithville Volunteer Fire Department is holding a golf scramble at Castle Shannon Golf Course on June 15. Cost is $65 per person with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The fee includes golf, cart, skins, food, drink, door prizes and skill prizes. Lunch will be available at the turn and dinner after the round.

OVAC to hold showcase
WHEELING - The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference will hold its annual baseball media day and player showcase at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the I-470 Youth Sports Complex.
All Ohio and West Virginia All-Star participants are required to attend for pictures.
Players in grades 10-12 from any OVAC school may participate in the player showcase. According to the OVAC, college coaches will be in attendance to rate all participants on running, fielding, throwing, catching and pitching. Cost of the showcase is $10 for all non-all star participants. The money raised from the showcase will go to the baseball scholarship fund.

Golf tournament open to sign-ups
CAMBRIDGE - The annual Salt Fork Junior Invitational will be held July at Salt Fork State Park Golf Course with a 10 a.m. shotgun. The cost is $30 per person ($20 for those with Salt Fork golf memberships).
Awards will go to the top three finishers in the boys divisions (17-18, 15-16, 13-14) and top two in girls divisions (16-18, 13-15).

Panthers to have sports physicals
WHEELING - In conjunction with Wheeling Hospital, the Buckeye Local Athletic Department has arranged sports physicals for the 2013-2014 school year. Cost of the physical is $10, payable on the date of the physicals (make checks payable to Dr. Derek Eddy). Should a hardship exist, contact the athletic department prior to that date for assistance.
Physicals will be held on May 30 at Wheeling Hospital, Tower 4, Room 401 at 4:30 p.m. (seniors), 5 p.m. (junior), 5:30 p.m. (sophomores), 6 p.m. (freshmen) and 6:30 p.m. (seventh- and eighth-graders).
