COLEMAN, Darrel Ralph Sr., 52, of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was the husband of Laurella "Laurie" McFarland Coleman, to whom he was married for 34 years.

Born on October 11, 1960, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of Ralph and Dorothy Smith Coleman of Chester, WV.

Darrel was a self-employed carpenter, enjoyed playing the banjo, was a very active woodworker, recently built his own garage on his property which he was very proud of and was a member of Mercy Baptist Church, Weirton.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Darrel R. Coleman Jr. of New Cumberland and James Coleman (Nicole) of Weirton; a daughter, Alicia Humpe (Jeff) of Toronto, OH; two grandsons, Aiden Coleman and Ethan Humpe; a brother, David Coleman and companion Shane Albaneso of Bentleyville, PA; three sisters: Darletta Coleman and companion Tammy Hixenbaugh of Bentleyville, PA, and Cindy Lynch (Joe) and Jill Conkle, both of Chester, WV. Darrel is also survived by a brother-in-law, Joe McFarland (Krisann) of Bel Air, MD; and five nieces, three nephews and three great-nieces.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton.
