Clyde Ernest Warwick

WARWICK, Clyde Ernest, 87, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Weirton Medical Center.

He was born in Weirton on Oct. 26, 1925, to the late Pearl Marie and Harry M. Warwick.

He retired as a Heater for the Weirton Steel Corporation with 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He was a member of the Weirton V.F.W. Post No. 2716 and the American Legion Post No. 10., a member of the 25-Year Club of Weirton Steel and a member of the Weirton Steel Bowling Leauge.

Clyde loved fishing, especially in Canada. He also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, John "Jack" Warwick, and a half-sister, Helen Brown.

Clyde is survived by his longtime companion of 55 years, Erma Sharrow, and her children and grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Betty Jean Woodall, and his sister-in-law, Lilyan Warwick, as well as several neices and nephews Visitation will be held at the Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton on Friday, May 17 from 3-8 p.m. with additional viewing on Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home at noon.

Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton with military cemetery honors given by the V.F.W. Post No. 2716 Firing Squad and American Legion Post No. 10 Honor Guard.
