Thomas Calvin ‘Tom Cat’ Plazarin

PLAZARIN, Thomas Calvin "Tom Cat," 72, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1940, in Yatesboro, PA, a son of the late Chester August and Elizabeth Dunn Plazarin.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 19 years, Dorothy (Clark) Plazarin in 2003; a stepson, Gary Guiler; a brother, Chester Plazarin; and a sister, Eleanor Henderson.

Tom retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation where he worked for 35 years in the Mingo Junction plant. He was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Linda) Plazarin and Ricky (Annabett) Plazarin both of New Alexandria, OH; and a stepson, William "Bill" (Linda) Guiler of Colliers, WV; one brother, William "Bill" (Verlene) Plazarin of Apalachicola, FL; two sisters, Shirley (Don) Riser of Indianapolis, IND and Geraldine Noah of Burgettstown, PA; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. with Steve Smithbauer, Minister officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery Colliers, WV.
