STEUBENVILLE - Two men charged in connection with an April 19 homicide and a third person wanted in connection with a shooting in October at Club 106 on South Street were brought back to the Jefferson County jail on Monday after being lodged in the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville.

Lonnie Smith, 31, and Kory Smith, 27, have been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Tristan Jackson, 27, who was shot once in the head shortly after 2 p.m. on April 19 on Pittsburgh Street, City Police reported.

Jackson's cousin Jermaine Foots, 21, was shot as he ran from the scene and was found near the Pittsburgh Street and Oak Grove Avenue intersection.

Foots was transported by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh area hospital but was released and reportedly went back to Chicago, police reported.

Lonnie Smith and Hakeem Herbert, 22, also have been charged with felonious assault after a person was grazed with a bullet at Club 106 in October.

The Smiths and Herbert were arrested on April 22 in Weirton.

Their bond was set at $1 million each.
