Men's lacrosse loses

STEUBENVILLE - The Franciscan University of Steubenville men's lacrosse team dropped a 27-2 decision to visiting University of Mount Union Wednesday.

Sebastian Olsen and Ryan Zibikowski scored for the Barons, who visit Baldwin Wallace at 4 p.m. Saturday.

"There is no magic to this," FUS head coach Pete Rosaschi said. "We just keep growing over time and gaining confidence."

FUS softball loses two

STEUBENVILLE - The Franciscan University of Steubenville softball team dropped a doubleheader to visiting Grove City College Wednesday, 9-1 and 11-5. The Barons held a 4-3 lead after four innings in Game 2.

"Our fielding was a lot better in the second game," FUS head coach Jen Parker said. "We played a lot tighter and we were a little bit more aggressive. I really think they had their heads in the second game and when they keep their heads up, they definitely play a lot better. People are going to make errors, that's the game of softball, but you can't let that error define you."

Hailey Wesselman went 2-for-2 for the Lady Barons in the second game with two walks and three runs scored.

FUS visits Pitt-Greensburg for a Saturday doubleheader.
