Margaret Kovalcik

KOVALCIK, Margaret A. Petras, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

She was born January 28, 1926, in Yorkville. Margaret was the daughter of the late Steve and Emerencia (Mari) Petras. Margaret was an LPN, a homemaker, a wife, a mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Kimble and Ann Yablonski; and seven brothers, Steve, Joseph, John, Pete, Lewis, Frank and George Petras.

She is survived by one sister, Frances Slivka of Mingo Junction; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Petras of Steubenville and Mary Petras of Pittsburgh; four children, James (Cathy) Kovalcik of Martins Ferry, Mark (Lisa) Kovalcik of Highlandtown, Kenneth Kovalcik of Tiltonsville and Suelyn (Les) Starkey of Martins Ferry; eight grandchildren, Ben Kovalcik, Carrie (Mark) Ramsay, Jamie (Jason) Cash, Jennifer (David) Elliot, Natasha (Shaun) Ford, Vanessa Kovalcik, Mark Kovalcik Jr. and Chelsea Kovalcik; seven great- grandchildren, Bryce and Bradie Ramsay, Jadyn and Josie Cash, Zacharyand Logan Ford and Allyssa Elliot.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6th at St. Joseph Church, Tiltonsville. Interment in Upland Cemetery, Yorkville.
