WHEELING - Rachel Clare Smay and Ryan Patrick Allchin were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. on June 23 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Wheeling. The Rev. Dennis Scheulkens Jr. officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Carole Smay of Wheeling, formerly of Weirton. The groom is the son of Jerry and Peggy Allchin of Kirtland, Ohio.
Mary Wisecup was the maid of honor.

The bridesmaids were Nicole Smay, Megan Thompson, Mandy Lloyd and Andrea Owens.
The groomsmen were David Allchin, Jerry Allchin Jr., Tim Webster and Robert Rever. Stephen Smay Jr. served as ring bearer.
After a reception at Generations Banquet Hall in Wheeling, the couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.
The bride is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and received a bachelor's of science degree from West Virginia University and a master's degree from the University of Virginia. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist in Columbus.
The groom is a graduate of Kirtland High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 2005 and was stationed in San Diego, Calif., where he worked as an aviation structural mechanic. He is working as a recruiter for the Navy in Marion, Ohio.
They reside in Powell, Ohio.
