Children's Easter egg hunt scheduled
A children's Easter egg hunt will be held March 30 at the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Department, beginning at 1 p.m.
The event is open to children up to age 8 and will include prizes and photos with the "Easter Bunny and Chick."
The event is being co-sponsored by the Bergholz Ruritans and Bergholz area businesses and churches.
Tickets on sale for drawing for hams
The Bergholz Ruritans are selling tickets for a drawing that will involve the giveaway of five hams.
Tickets are $5 for six tickets and are available from any club member.
The drawing will be conducted at 7 p.m. March 20 at Marshall's Restaurant.
Great Duck Race on the calendar
The third-annual Great Duck Race on Yellow Creek will be held March 30 at 2 p.m. behind the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Department, weather permitting.
"Ducks" are available for $5 and are on sale on Saturdays in front of the bank and Supermart.
The winner will receive 50 percent of the pot with prizes for the second- and third-place finishers.
The event is co-sponsored by the Bergholz Ruritans and the Easter Egg Hunt Committee.
