Frank (Pat) Patterson Moorman

MOORMAN, Frank (Pat) Patterson, age 68, of Pickerington, Ohio, lost his battle with cancer on February 16, 2013, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1944, to the late Victor and Virginia Moorman and grew up in Mingo Junction, Ohio. He was devoted to his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and loyal friend.

After graduating from Mingo High School in 1962, he attended Ohio State University and pursued a career in land surveying. He also proudly served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, spending time with his family, playing with his grandkids and spoiling his dog, Lilly. Remembered as a gentle, soft-spoken man, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and the community.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (Zaslocki), daughters Kim (Tom) Collom, Kelly (Brett) Miller, and Lori (Marcus) Gischel, grand children Ben, Tammy, Matt, A.J., Ryan, and Whitney, brothers Mont (Marilyn) Moorman, James (Diane) Moorman, William Moorman, sisters, Shirley (John) Holt and Virginia (Allan) Simon, and his very dear aunt, Mary Alice Smith plus many more dear family and friends.

Friends may visit Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road North (St. Rt. 256), Pickerington, OH, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment St. Josephs Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
