Sister Immaculata St. Anthony

ST. ANTHONY, Sister Immaculata of Jesus Crucified and the Holy Trinity, OCD, 78, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Trinity West.

She was born January 2, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN. She is the daughter of the late Rudolph and Cecelia St. Anthony.

Surviving are her brother, R. Joseph St. Anthony of Minneapolis; and her two sisters, Judith St. Anthony Boylan of Minneapolis, MN, and Mary St. Anthony Miller of St. Paul, MN.

Sister Immaculata entered Lake Elmo Carmelite Monastery and was named Prioress and served as Novitiate Director and stayed at Lake Elmo for 23 years. She then, after having permission from her Bishop, left to start a hermitage in Amery, WI, Houston, MN, and then came to Bloomingdale to start one here. Sister also for many years lectured on prayer and Carmelite Saints.

Friends are invited, Thursday at St. John Fisher Catholic Church from 1 p.m. until the time of a funeral liturgy with mass at 2 p.m., Fr. Bernard M. Geiger, OFM Conv. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
