BETHANY - Paulo Nzambi, senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Manchester Bidwell Corp., will be the speaker for Bethany College's Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Life, Nzambi will speak at 7 p.m. Monday in the Agostino Room of Benedum Commons.

Raised in Angola, Nzambi grew up during a civil war in the African nation that lasted 27 years and killed millions, and he has written plays about his experiences.

Scott Miller, the college's president, said, "Bethany College is proud to celebrate the life and work of the remarkable Dr. King. His leadership in the African-American civil rights movement and his message of peace and nonviolence will never be forgotten."
