Redskins fall to Wheeling Park

WHEELING - The Wheeling Park girls basketball team outscored visiting Indian Creek 25-4 in the second quarter en route to a 79-66 victory Saturday afternoon.

Emily Puskarich led the way with a game-high 31 points for the winners, while teammate Haley Robb added 25.

Kiarra Kamarec and Bre Berryman paced the Redskins with 21 points each. Brooke Mains delivered 20.

Indian Creek hosts Buckeye Local on Monday.

Crusaders nip Beallsville

BEALLSVILLE - The Steubenville Catholic Central girls basketball team nipped host Beallsville 46-44 Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders outscored the Blue Devils 20-16 in the fourth quarter. Micca Mirabella led the way with 11 points. Miranda Parkinson added 10 and Tory Knight eight.

Huskies top Shamrocks

CADIZ - The Harrison Central girls basketball team rode a huge fourth quarter to beat visiting Barnseville Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies outscored the Shamrocks 24-10 in the final eight minutes for the 56-48 victory. Kara Dunfee led three Harrison Central players in double figures with 17. Jess Ledger and Katie Ellzy each added 15.

Harrison Central visits Martins Ferry Monday.

Royals win tight one

WEIRTON - The Jefferson County Christian School boys basketball team earned a 55-48 victory over the Underground Christian School Friday at the Millsop Community Center.

Matt Townsend paced the winners with 25 points. Wes Seabright added 17.

The Royals visit St. John Central Tuesday, Wilson Christian Academy Thursday and host American Spirit Academy on Friday.
