Health department announces schedule
STEUBENVILLE - The Jefferson County Health Department nursing division announced today immunization shots, flu shots and tuberculosis testing will be available from 9 until 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the county health department on Market Street.
Township trustees cancel meeting
TILTONSVILLE - The Warren Township Trustees meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been cancelled.
The trustees' next meeting will be February 13 at 7 p.m. at the Warren Township garage, 302 Walden Avenue, Tiltonsville.
Weirton tree recycling coming
WEIRTON - The Weirton Public Works Department will conduct curbside collection of Christmas trees Monday through Feb. 28. Those wishing to take part are asked to have their trees curbside by 7 a.m. on their regular garbage collection day.
Christmas trees will be taken to a local compost facility, where they will be placed in a chipper to create reusable mulch. To avoid damaging the machine, residents are asked to remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel and other materials from their tree before recycling.
