To the editor:
On Dec. 20, someone broke into the Samaritan House on Washington Street. They smashed two door windows and did damage inside the store, all for a few dollars.
This is like the dog biting the hand that feeds it. The TOR sisters devote their lives to serving the needy in our town and are a welcome presence downtown. They operate the Samaritan House with the small amount collected from the sale of used merchandise, and I am sure could use some financial help for fixing the damages.
