December 28, 2012
The Herald-Star

The GFWC Woman's Club of Mingo members held their Christmas party at Triple Play Cafe in Steubenville.

President Sharon Cole-Isner gave the welcome and invocation and led in opening ceremonies.

Members were asked to share their favorite club Christmas party memories.

Entertainment was provided by Ryan Johnson, who performed selections on the acoustic guitar and tenor saxophone.

All the club members participated in the 12 days of Christmas.

Cole-Isner won the drawing, presenting it to Betty Ralston, an honorary life member.

Poinsettia door prizes were won by Ralston, Patty Nelms, Diana Taylor, Roetta Lewis and Bernie Carpico. Clara Sue Milewsky won the candy jar game.

Stephanie Rouse gave a reading on "Silent Night."

The party closed with the members singing "Silent Night" and holding lit candles.

Cole-Isner presented everyone with a gift.

Parliamentarian Rouse was the chairman and was assisted by Cole-Isner; Joanne Gorney, first vice president; Cheri Carpico, second vice president; and Shelly Bateman, recording secretary; Mary Jane Tiberio, corresponding secretary; Bernie Carpico, treasurer; Milewsky, press reporter; and Janet Petrella, director at large.

The next meeting will be held Jan. 10 with Lewis as chairman.

It will be an "in-house" talent night.
