STEUBENVILLE - Officials with Ohio Valley Housing Center have announced a series of free seminars will be held throughout Jefferson County next week.
"Everyone is invited to attend to learn more about fair housing laws and how they apply to you and your friends and neighbors. More information about the seminars is available by calling the Ohio Valley Fair Housing Center at (740) 283-6000, extension. 1706. The events are sponsored by the Fair Housing Programs of Steubenville and Jefferson County and the Ohio Valley Fair Housing Center," said Chris Petrossi, Urban Projects director of the Steubenville Planning Office.
Petrossi said the first workshop will be held from noon until 1 p.m. Monday at the Smithfield Christian Church at 145 High St. in Smithfield.
"A second workshop is scheduled from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday at the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County Adena branch at 167 Hanna Ave.," explained Petrossi.
"We will continue the free workshops on Dec. 18 from noon until 1 p.m. at the Richmond Village Building and from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Rayland Village Building. There is no cost to attend the seminars," said Petrossi.
