ADENA - A spaghetti dinner, silent auction, gift basket fundraiser and 50/50 drawing will be held Dec. 16 for Sandy Cameron of Adena, a cancer survivor who has had many hospitalizations due to contracting staph infection/cellulitis.

The spaghetti dinner benefit will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 16 at the Adena Community Center. The cost is $6 for spaghetti, salad and bread that can be eaten at the center or taken out. Desserts and beverages will be sold separately, and there will be a DJ for musical entertainment.

Cameron has been hospitalized, recovering in nursing homes, had surgeries and lost two jobs and her medical benefits in the process of these illnesses after suffering from cancer. She now is fighting osteomyelitis, with in intravenous pic line in her chest so she can receive the right antibiotics.

A 1973 graduate of Buckeye West High School, Cameron is now in the Autumn Health Care facility on state Route 250 in Adena.

Heather Howell and Lynn McConnell are in charge of the event and are asking for any type of donation of paper plates, napkins, plastic forks, gift baskets, blankets or desserts. An account has been set up at People's National Bank, Mount Pleasant, OH 43939, for donations in the name of the Sandy Cameron Fund.

Her daughter, Heather Howell can be contacted at (740) 827-0415; or contact McConnell at (740) 546-3946 for information.
