Assault: Man said he was assaulted Thursday on South Third Street and cut with box cutter. The victim, who drove himself to Trinity Medical Center West, said he was robbed of his wallet.

Gun found: City sanitation worker saw a backpack near a garbage can at Plum and Henry streets on Thursday. Inside the backpack was a loaded handgun.

Arrested: Jessica A. Moore, 22, 1502 Ridge Ave., bench warrant out of municipal court, Thursday.

Fake money: Counterfeit bills discovered at Hawk Gas Station on South Seventh Street, Thursday.

Vandalism: Lock to shed door cut off in the 3200 block of Portland Boulevard, Thursday.

Vehicle entered: Vehicle broken into in the 1500 block of Roosevelt Avenue and gym key taken, Thursday.

Theft: Vehicle entered in the 2400 block of Sunset Boulevard and change taken, Thursday.

Theft: TV taken from residence in the 300 block of North Sixth Street during the past two weeks.

Cited: Danielle Pribila, no age listed, Bellaire, failure to signal turn; Michael L. Pyles, no age listed, Moundsville, no seat belt; and James Morgan, 57, 2560 state Route 151, Mingo Junction, red light.

Arrested: Benjamin A. Persohn, 32, Wellsville, criminal mischief, Thursday.
