NEWCOMERSTOWN - The Conotton Valley girls basketball team dominated the game from the free throw line and earned a 55-49 win over visiting Toronto Friday at the season opened for both teams.
The Rockets were 31 for 45 from the charity stripe, while the Red Knights were 6 for 25.
Lexie Berger paced Toronto with 11 points, while Mikayla Bauman added nine and Kayla Brown and Becca Schaming eight each.
The Red Knights host Steubenville Catholic Central on Thursday.
