To the editor:
As I read the letters to the editor with interest each week, I cannot help but think of past sayings.
These are only my opinion, but here are a few sayings I remember that seem to fit the politicians in our government - "Figures don't lie, but liars figure;" "You can fool some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time;" and, last but not least, "It doesn't pay to be stupid unless you show it once in a while."
If I had the chance, I would like to ask our president this question - If you can't afford food for your family, how are you expected to afford health insurance?
