STEUBENVILLE - Blood pressure screenings and TB skin testing will be offered at the Steubenville Health Department, 119 S. Third St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays in November.
There also will be STD testing, by appointment only, for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Call (740) 283-6000, extension 1506, to schedule an appointment.
Officials also said childhood and adult immunization clinics are planned from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays this month at the health department. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children, and a record of prior immunizations must be provided.
Adult flu shot clinics are slated from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday, until the supply is depleted, officials said. Call the health department's nursing division at (740) 283-6000, extensions, 1506, 1507 or 1508, to speak to a nurse.
Participants are asked to bring their Medicare or Medicaid Advantage cards as well as Ohio Medicaid cards for vaccine billing.
Shingles shots also are available at the health department, and free, anonymous HIV screenings will be offered on Nov. 26. Walk-ins and appointments are welcomed, or call the above number to schedule an appointment. No HIV screenings will be given in December, officials said.
The health department will be closed on Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans Day, as well as Nov. 22-23 in observance of Thanksgiving.
